Hi, I'm Peter. I'm a journalist, writer, dog owner, nice person in real life, mean person on Twitter, kombucha maker (like once), queer thing, Jewish thing, uh, yeah. Hi!
I've written for places like The New York Times, The New Yorker, The New Republic, The Nation and VICE, WIRED, OUT Magazine and others. I wrote a book about gentrification called How to Kill a City, which was published by Nation Books/Perseus/Hachette and reviewed positively in The New York Times Book Review, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, The New Republic and elsewhere.
My next book will be about free speech, safe spaces and fascism. It will also be published by Nation Books.
I co-founded Study Hall, a media collaborative with 400 members and an office in Brooklyn.
I'm represented by Mackenzie Brady Watson at Stuart Krichevsky Literary Agency.
My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
I use they/them/theirs pronouns.
